Shablovsky Valery   [Works]

Russian artist and painter, creator of the conceptual art-movement “TimeArt”, unique photographer and just a great person. His paintings can be seen in numerous collections in Russia, East Europeand & North America. He studied art at MuchinaAcademy of Arts and Design in St. Petersburg, Russia Valery Shablovsky is a member of the “Union of Russian Artists” and member of IFA  (International Federation of Artists). He has exhibited in six solo exhibitions and over twelve group shows. Shablovsky was accepted by many top-ranked critics like Achille Bonito and many others. His paintings printed in various catalogues, such as Russian Modern XX centure. Last exhibitions:   2000 - 'Mi - art ', Milano, Italy; 2001 - "Abstraction  in Russia  XX century", Russian museum, St. Petersburg ; 2003-''St. Petersburg in Black and white'', Russian museum and others.

Valery Shablovsky finishes the V.I. Muhina Academy of Arts. Being a student he is fond of P.Pikasso,P. Klee,V. Kandinsky works.
In 1990-1993 Valery Shablovsky works as a member of “ Parallel” group which united the continuers of Russian vanguard traditions of the beginning of XX century. In this group were also such artists as M. Gorohova,who was K. Malevich pupil and the followers of P. Filonov-V. Povorova, L. Kutsenko.
In 1985 the works  of V. Shablonsky were included in the collection of the World Graphic Arts Encyclopaedia (UNESCO).
In 1991 under the influence of journey through Altai Valery Shablovsky works out a symbol structure system connected with the idea of Time. This system finds expression in  artist’s painting and drawing.
Since 1998 the artist has created a number of unique in pictorial plan and serious in philosophic aspect works within the framework of tendency created by him- “Time off art”, where the clock face is used as a symbol and the main element visualizing the author’s conception.

The most important exhibitions:

In 2000- “Mi-Art”Milan, Italy.
In 2001 takes part in the “Abstraction in Russia. XX century” exhibition, The Russian Museum, St. Petersburg. The work from this exposition-“Blue Time” was bought by The Russian Museum.
In 2002 Valery Shablonsky organized an action from the series of “Seeing sculpture” project in St. Petersburg. 2002- “Black and white Petersburg”, the Russian Museum, St. Petersburg.
In 2004 his “Solo for excavator” work takes part in CEC ArtsLink programme: “New Russian video” in the gallery of “Art in general”, New York.
2006- “Collage in Russia”, the Russian Museum, St. Petersburg.
Nowadays the artist devotes himself to painting, photography, video-art and installation within the framework of  “Timeoff Art” tendency created by him.
The works of Valery Shablovsky are in the State Russian Museum collection.(St. Petersburg, Russia), and also in private collections in Russia,Germany, Holland, the USA, Finland, France, Israel, Italy.

  Art Projects

1-project Timegames: painting
 

This project is a laboratory research of Time phenomenon. In this project author’s conception about different properties, manifestation and Time paradox are reflected.
    

2-project Numbertime: painting
 
Time is chronological and firures are directly connected with each other in  such a way when figure means time.
In this project-vice versa: Time (looks like clock face) forms figures. Here you can see different figure aphorisms, events, markings.


3-project Spacetime (has o­nly begun): painting
 
Connects human with the furthest points of Universe and not o­nly by sight but mystically.
 

4-photo projects: End of time, Timewaters, Timenature, Icetime:
 
The attempt of perception of time interactions with natural phenomenons, cooperation of  “human” Time and “nature” Time, introduction of time factor in environment.
